1. Nature of the Platform

iKash is a non-custodial peer-to-peer (P2P) crypto-to-fiat orchestration layer built on the Stellar blockchain network. We provide the software interface to connect buyers and sellers, coordinate escrow smart contracts, and facilitate communication.

iKash is not a bank, broker, custodian, or financial intermediary. We never hold, control, or have access to your funds or private keys at any point during a transaction.

2. User Responsibilities and Wallet Security

Access to iKash requires connecting a compatible self-custodied Stellar wallet. By using the platform, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You maintain exclusive control and responsibility over your wallet and its private keys.
  • iKash cannot recover lost private keys, reverse on-chain transactions, or access your wallet under any circumstances.
  • Loss of access to your wallet constitutes a permanent loss of access to your associated funds and iKash profile.
  • You are solely responsible for ensuring the security of your device and the integrity of the wallet software you choose to install.

3. Escrows and Smart Contracts

To secure funds in transit, iKash integrates with Trustless Work, an external provider of decentralized, audited smart contracts on the Stellar network. When a trade is initiated, funds are locked within an immutable, self-executing smart contract. iKash backend systems cannot unilaterally release or redirect these funds. The release of funds requires cryptographic signatures generated by the counterparties via their local wallets.

4. Fiat Settlements and Evidence

Fiat transactions (e.g., bank transfers, SINPE mobile) occur entirely off-chain between the buyer and seller. iKash does not process, monitor, or guarantee fiat settlements.

  • Buyers are strictly responsible for transferring the exact agreed-upon fiat amount to the payment details provided by the seller.
  • Sellers are responsible for verifying the receipt of funds in their bank accounts before cryptographically releasing the escrowed assets.
  • Users must upload clear and accurate evidence (e.g., transfer receipts) to the platform to confirm off-chain settlements. Falsifying evidence is a violation of these terms and will result in a permanent ban.

5. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a disagreement regarding a fiat settlement, either party may initiate a dispute. During a dispute, a designated iKash platform support key may act as a decentralized resolver within the Trustless Work smart contract.

iKash will review the chat logs and uploaded payment evidence to determine the rightful owner of the escrowed assets. You agree that iKash's decision in resolving disputes is final and binding. iKash assumes no liability for losses incurred due to fraudulent off-chain transfers if sufficient evidence is not provided.

6. KYC Verification and Compliance

To maintain the integrity of the P2P network, iKash requires all users to undergo identity verification (KYC) processed by our third-party provider, Didit. You agree to provide accurate and truthful information during this process. iKash reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the platform for any user who fails KYC verification, is flagged for suspicious activity, or violates these Terms of Service.
